Dr. Sumaya Alblooshi is a distinguished leader in nursing, known for her expertise and dedication to advancing healthcare in the UAE and beyond. Currently serving as President of the Emirates Nursing Association, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the nursing landscape in the UAE. Dr. Alblooshi leads the taskforce committee for the Cabinet Initiative on the Attractiveness of Nursing Profession and drives the National Nursing and Midwifery Strategy, enhancing care quality nationwide. As an Honorary Associate Professor at MBRU and Director of Nursing at Emirates Health Services, Dr. Alblooshi blends academic excellence with hands-on leadership. Her contributions have earned her prestigious awards, including the Emirates Pride Medal and the Community Serving Medal. Internationally recognized, she is been honored with the "Pioneer Nurse title and inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. With a Ph.D. in Nursing Philosophy and masters & degrees in Quality Management and Public Health, Dr. Alblooshi's educational background is extensive. Complementing her academic achievements, she completed the Nursing and Health Care Leadership and Management Program at McMaster University, solidifying her leadership skills. Dr. Alblooshi's rich expertise and commitment continue to inspire advancements in nursing practice and education globally.
