Dr. Merlin Nesa Kumari as a Senior Nurse Educator at Latifa Women and Children Hospital, Dubai Health, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the assigned role. Academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Nursing, an M.Sc. in Nursing (Pediatrics), and an M.Sc. in Psychology, Bsc Nursing. Over the past 24 years, amassed extensive teaching and clinical experience in India and in UAE. Career began as a bedside nurse, evolving through positions such as Theatre Nurse in Cardiac OT, Renal Transplant OT, General OT, and Laparoscopy area. Today, passionately dedicated to education after having experience in college of Nursing, private hospital in UAE and now with DH. Has strong publication record in national and international journals and have made significant contributions as an organizer, MC, and speaker at numerous conferences. As a Life Support Course Instructor and Coordinator were able to train clinical and non-clinical staff to deal with emergency situations of various age group. Efforts have been recognized with awards for best poster at international conferences, outstanding performance in the Nurse Manager Competency course, and the Star of the Month employee award. Actively engaged in several hospital committees and serve as a research guide. As a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, committed to advancing the nursing profession. Designs and conducts specialty courses for nurses within the organization, focusing on patient safety and fostering a Just Culture.
