Dr. Shelina Bhamani is a passionate early childhood development (ECD) advocate, currently serving as Program Director of Outreach Education and Lead ECD PREP at Aga Khan University (AKU). With a PhD in ECD, she is dedicated to improving the lives of young children and their families through innovative programs. Since 2020, she has pioneered Pakistan's first formal parenting education clinic initiative in healthcare settings, benefiting over 15,000 caregivers. Dr. Bhamani empowers parents, caregivers, and educators, particularly in underserved communities, by promoting evidence-based practices and community engagement. She also contributes to global policy development with organizations like WHO and RCOG while mentoring students and professionals in maternal and child health, fostering collaboration among nursing and allied health professionals to enhance patient care.
